Visited in the night by silent, malevolent spectres, Karen Harris’s home is taking on a life of its own, and it quickly becomes clear that someone or something is trying to make contact with her. As the world around her becomes increasingly unfamiliar, Karen turns to the help of both a medium and a doctor; the former professes the house to be haunted and the latter insists that the strange and eerie events are mere manifestations of her grief.

Both are very much wrong. Alienated and terrified, it soon becomes evident to Karen that this is not post- traumatic stress, nor is it a case of a deceased husband or malevolent spiritual force seeking to make contact. In fact, Karen discovers such horrors are nothing compared to what else can befall a grieving woman, secluded and alone in the woods...
